Francisca VANDEPITTE, PhD, Art History & Archaeology, (1999, University of Ghent); Senior Curator of Modern Sculpture as well as Curator of the Meunier Museum at the RMFAB (Royal Museums of Fine Art of Belgium). She organized and co-organized several exhibitions of Belgian art, among them comprehensive retrospectives of the work of Panamarenko, Constantin Meunier and Rik Wouters. Her participations in colloquia, guest lectures and publications concern problems of iconography and theory of modern and contemporary art. Francisca Vandepitte is responsible for the restauration department of modern art at the KMSKB/MRBA. She also teaches the courses Material Aspects of the Visual Arts and Techniques of the Visual Arts at VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
